May 1-3, 2019, I designed sound and composed music for Dysphoric Interchange, choreographed by Josie Bettman. From the program:

DYSPHORIC INTERCHANGE arises from a choreographic process informed by gender dysphoria, framing the experience of push and pull between opposite poles of a binary structure. The work proposed methods of hacking this structure, redirecting technologies of control towards subversive ends.

Designing Sound for piece.piece at Gibney Dance Center

A dance piece by Johanna S Meyer. Performed Angelica Angulo-Soledad, Lailye Weidman, Hadley Smith, Emily Bock, Angie Pittman, Jennifer Allen. Sound Design Jeff Zahos, Lighting Scott Bowman, Dramaturgy Andi Stover Assistant Directors: Angelica Angulo-Soledad, Adi Eytan Performed at Gibney Dance Center September 2015 An evening length dance that plays with layers collaging various moments from earlier shows, youtube videos, and the dancers personalities within a small room and the public space of the building entrance. The dancers perform with and front of the audience and the people entering and exiting the building. A performance of how we perform ourselves on and off the stage.

September 9-12, 2015, I performed a re-imagined sound design for Johanna Meyer’s piece.piece at Gibney Dance Center in New York, this time with no percussion instruments due to space restrictions. The lines between my roles as observer, technician, and performer were blurred.
